Deposits After Disconnection

In addition to new customers, security deposits may be required for existing customers under the following circumstances:
  • Customer has had utility services disconnected for non-payment
  • Customer has maintained services but has been charged delinquent process fees twice within a 12 month period.
If a customer’s services are disconnected or subject to be disconnected for non-pay of the utility account:
  • The amount of deposit required for this circumstance is equal to twice the average monthly bill (based on the most recent 12 month billing average).
  • Following the first disconnection event, the customer will receive a warning notice indicating that a deposit will be required.
  • If the customer’s service is subject to disconnection processes a second time within the 12-month period, the customer will be billed for the required deposit amount.
