The Animal Control Officer (ACO) works closely with the Danville Area Humane Society to manage animal issues and problems. While the majority of the work is done with dogs, the ACO also handles other domestic animals, reptiles, and birds. In addition, they can suggest methods to mitigate wild animal issues. The Animal Control Unit does not pick up or dispose of dead animals. Call 434-799-5111 to have the Animal Control Unit dispatched to handle your animal problem. While on duty, the ACO can also be reached directly at 434-548-3017.
