Police Records is responsible for the proper collection, retention and retrieval of all police information. In addition to normal record keeping duties, the unit is responsible for all departmental technological improvements and implementations.
Police Records is the central hub for maintaining documents and other data collected by the Danville Police Department.
The information coming into the system is checked for error and corrected if needed. Police Records is staffed by four full-time clerks. This unit is a resource for the public and police officers. Some of the information maintained here includes:
