J. Lee Vogler was elected to Danville City Council in May 2012, becoming the youngest person ever elected to that position, at age 24. A native of Southside Virginia, Mr. Vogler graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He is currently employed as a Marketing Consultant for Andrew Brooks Media Group. Mr. Vogler is involved in several community activities including founding and leading the group “Moving Danville Forward”, serving on the Regional Industrial Facility Authority (RIFA), the Danville Metropolitan Planning Organization and on the Board of Directors for Southside On Stage, as well as the Langhorne House. He is also a member of the Danville Kiwanis Club. In 2017, Councilman Vogler was recognized by the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association as Virginia Local Legislator of the Year. He and his wife Blair reside in the Grove Park area of Danville with their son, Kingston.
