Danville Cemeteries

The City of Danville has provided burial services, sold plots, and maintained cemeteries for more than 170 years.

Today, the Public Works Department manages eight City-owned cemeteries, comprised of more than 186 acres. Cemetery regulations can be found in Chapter 10 of the City Code.

Six of the eight cemeteries are active with burials, while the Grove Street and Freedman's Cemeteries are maintained with no further burials allowed.
