Yanceyville, N.C. Town Manager David A. Parrish has been selected to serve as Danville’s Deputy City Manager. He will start work with the City on Monday, August 16th. David Parrish competed with 100 other applicants through a nationwide recruitment process.
David Parrish has served as Yanceyville Town Manager since November 2007. Prior to that, he worked two years as Management Analyst in the Danville City Manager’s Office. Before attending graduate school, where he served as a graduate assistant and intern, David Parrish worked as Director of Recreation for Well-Spring Retirement Community and as Employment Specialist for Arc of Greensboro. David is a member of the International City/County Management Association and the North Carolina City/County Management Association.
David Parish holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of North Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation from University of North Carolina - Greensboro. He graduated from Northeast Guilford High School in McCleansville, N.C.
