The Danville Fire Department and the Danville Life Saving Crew were involved in the extrication of one person. The person had to be cut out of the vehicle. The Danville Life Saving Crew transported the patient to the Danville Regional Medical Center. The Danville Hazardous Materials team assisted with fluids that had leaked from the vehicles at the crash site. The Danville Police Department assisted with re-routing traffic since the north bound lane was closed for over 1 hr and 45 minutes. The Virginia Department of Transportation was on scene along with other agencies. Two engine crews assisted with patient care and clean up.
