The Danville Fire Department was dispatched to 213 Lynn St. at 4pm this afternoon where a fan in the bathroom ceiling overheated and ignited wood framing. Fire crews made quick entry and found the fire and it was extinguished before it could spread to other parts of the building. The fire was contained to the immediate area and there was some water damage from the extinguishing operations. A small portion of the ceiling had to be removed to make sure the fire was in fact out. Four Engine, One Ladder Truck, and five support units were on the scene for just over an hour making sure the building was secure and removing some of the debris. In all eighteen fire personnel responded to the scene. There were no injuries to occupants nor fire personnel.
