The Danville Fire Department was called to 42 Dallas Ave. this morning shortly after 4am. When units arrived they found a single family home heavily involved with fire. Fire crews pulled attack lines and made an aggressive interior attack and got a quick knock down on the fire. A search was done of the entire structure and no one was found to be in it. As of this time we have been unable to contact the occupant of the home. The Department responded with 3 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, One Command Unit and two support units. 17 personnel were on the scene for about two and one half hours extinguishing the fire, looking for hidden fires and doing a thorough follow-up search of the structure. The Fire Marshal's office is still investigating the cause of the blaze. An updated release will be made when a determination of the cause has been made.
