The Danville Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1503 N. Main St. at 3:16 am. Engines from the Third Avenue and Airport Dr. stations along with an additional engine and ladder truck from the Bridge St fire station responded. Upon arrival units found fire showing from the front porch and roof area. Units made a quick attack on the fire and were able to contain the fire to a small area of the front porch and roof. The cause of the fire was determined to be a quartz light on the front of the structure that had malfunctioned and dropped down. The heat from the light in turn set the wood sheeting on fire and progressed from there. Damage was held to a minimum and the business should still be operational. Units were on scene for one hour and fifteen minutes and no injuries involved.
