The occupants reported that everyone was out of the home except for their pet. Crews started extinguishing the fire and started a search for the dog. Crews found the dog quickly and started rescue efforts but the dog perished in the fire. The family was displaced and the Red Cross assisted the family with food and lodging. The Fire Marshals office investigated the fire and determined the cause to be unattended cooking. The home suffered heavy damage.3 engines,1 ladder truck, and 4 support vehicles remained onscene for 1 hour and 41 minutes.
