Danville City Manager Joe King announced today the resignation of Jeremy Stratton as director of the Danville Office of Economic Development.
Stratton’s resignation is effective Feb. 28.
“Jeremy has done a great job for the city of Danville,” King said. “We are going to miss him, but we wish him well.”
Stratton will be leaving the city to join the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce in El Dorado, Arkansas, as president and chief executive officer. He has served as Danville’s economic development director since Aug. 13, 2007.
King said he would announce plans to fill the position following discussion with City Council.
“In the interim, we are going to move forward in helping local companies to grow and recruiting more companies to Danville,” King said. “We are fortunate to have a good economic development staff in place.”
