Crosswalk installation is complete on Patton Street at the MLK Jr. Bridge (northbound). All lanes are now open in that block from Craghead Street to the bridge.
Contractors are now installing crosswalks in the intersection of Main Street at Craghead Street/Memorial Drive. Motorists are urged to slow down and be alert to altered traffic patterns as a result of the construction.
This work will take several days.
The crosswalk installation is part of the second phase of streetscape improvements in the River District.
