Crosswalk installation is complete on Patton Street at the MLK Jr. Bridge (northbound). All lanes are now open in that block from Craghead Street to the bridge.
A contract crew continues the installation of crosswalks in the intersection of Main Street and Craghead Street/Memorial Drive. Motorists are urged to slow down and be alert to altered traffic patterns as a result of the construction.
The construction at that intersection began Tuesday and will take several days to complete.
The crosswalk installations are part of the second phase of streetscape improvements in the River District.
