The Danville Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire on Fagan Street this morning at 07:40 am. The first engine arrived at 214 Fagan Street and reported moderate smoke showing from the 1-story house. Engine 5 confirmed the occupant was out of the house. The fire was quickly extinguished. The house suffered moderate fire and smoke damage. The occupant suffered burns to her hands, feet, and face. She was transported by the Danville Life Saving Crew to Danville Regional Medical Center.
4 engines, 1 ladder, and 5 support vehicles responded to the incident. A total of 25 fire personnel were on scene for 2 hours. The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the structure fire.
