Posted on: May 23, 2014[ARCHIVED] EPA reaches deal with Duke to clean river coal ash
In a deal finalized with Duke Energy, the EPA will oversee the cleanup of coal ash in the Dan River in consultation with federal wildlife officials under provisions in the Superfund law. Duke will reimburse the federal government for its oversight costs.
