The Danville Fire Department responded to a report of bathroom on fire this morning at 9:25, with 1 Ladder truck, 3 command vehicles, and 5 Engines. First arriving trucks on the scene reported very heavy smoke coming from the rear of the house. Within just a few minutes, heavy smoke was coming out from every window and door. All family members had gotten out of the home and were not hurt. There was very heavy damage to all of the inside of the house. The Red Cross took the family and found tempoary housing for them. The Building Inspection department condemned the structure because of the heavy damage. High heat and humidity required more engine companies to have to be rotated in for relief. The cause of the fire was determined to be from a candle. The fire Department was on the scene for approximately 4 hours.
