Danville Parks and Recreation’s Centra Summer Movies in the Park Series will continue at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at Ballou Park, with the movie “Elf.”
Elf is a 2003 American Christmas comedy film starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart, Ed Asner, and Zooey Deschanel. The story is about one of Santa's elves who learns of his true identity as a human and goes to New York City to meet his biological father, spreading Christmas cheer in a world of cynics as he goes.
In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown at Coates Recreation on Westover Drive.
The final movie in the series will be shown on Aug. 8 (“Despicable Me”). All films are free and are shown on a 20-foot screen at Ballou Park Stage. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
