Hot Asana Yoga Studio today announced its plans to locate to the Pemberton Lofts at 541 Bridge St. in the River District. Virginia Gallagher, owner, plans to bring an approach to health and wellness that includes daily classes, nutrition workshops and a retail store with a juice bar.
Gallagher opened her first hot yoga studio in Southern Pines, N.C., in 2010. The studio has 15 yoga
instructors and offers up to 75 classes each week. With the success of this location, she expanded into Durham, N.C., in 2014.
Her third location, in Danville’s River District, will open on Aug. 23 and will offer five classes a day, seven days a week. Classes include hot yoga, kids yoga, beginner yoga, aerial yoga, inversion and arm balance, pilates and yoga sculpt.
“We are thrilled that Virginia selected Danville as her third location for Hot Asana Yoga Studio,” said
Economic Development Project Manager Corrie Teague. “This studio will offer health and wellness
programs that are currently not available in this region. We expect these programs to draw a number of people into our River District.”
In addition to classes, Hot Asana will offer massage therapy, chiropractic services, workshops that focus on nutrition, meditation and stress management, and one-on-one training. There will also be a retail store in the studio featuring Lululemon athletic wear and a juice bar that offers fresh fruit and vegetable juices, organic and herbal tea, and fair trade coffees.
“We are so grateful for the warm welcome we've received from the people of Danville,” said Cameron
Harris, Director of Hot Asana Yoga Studio. “We can't wait to open the space up for the community!”
Before the studio officially opens, Hot Asana will offer free yoga classes on the lawn of the Danville
Museum of Fine Arts and History on Saturdays at 10 a.m. throughout the month of August.
