Danville Police responded to a call of a robbery in the 200 block of Girard Street this evening.
At 7:50 PM Danville Police responded to a reported robbery in the 200 block of Girard Street. A Danville City resident advised he was traveling on Girard Street when an unknown black male stepped out into the street in the path of his vehicle and then four other unknown black males ran to his vehicle and dragged him out of his vehicle at gunpoint. The suspects took an undetermined amount of cash from the victim. One of the suspects got in the victim’s vehicle and left the scene and the four other suspects left the scene walking; directions of travel unknown. The victim’s vehicle was later located in the dead of Girard Street. The victim was transported to the Danville Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The police investigation is continuing.
