Tickets remain available for Jam on the Dan on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Carrington Pavilion. The concert features three Americana and country music bands: Yarn with Josh Shilling, L Shape Lot and The Band Concord.
Tickets are $20 for general admission and $30 for VIP.
Yarn is a Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Americana and alternative country music band. Blake Christiana is the lead singer and songwriter for the group. Shilling is a vocalist, guitarist, writer and pianist from Martinsville will join the band for this concert.
L Shape Lot is a Wilmington, N.C.,-based band that mixes Americana, bluegrass and country music.
The Band Concord is a Blacksburg-based band founded in 2012 by Spencer Pugh and Andrew Steger. Pugh is the lead vocalist and guitarist, with Steger singing harmony and playing the mandolin and banjo. They have been joined by Alex Winemiller on stand up and electric bass, Jason Agola on piano, violin and harmony vocals, and Braden Burns on drums.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. The Carrington Pavilion is located at 667 Craghead St.
Danville Harvest Jubilee coordinates Jam on the Dan. This year, the organization also coordinated the concert featuring Blackberry Smoke, as well as two concert series: Covers at the Crossing and Fridays at the Crossing.
