An intensive training program will be offered during March, April and May in Danville for citizens who want to take a leadership role in the communities where they live.
This program is offered with support from the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce and is funded by the United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County.
The program is presented within the framework of the “Innovative Leadership: Building Community Connections” training program developed and offered by Virginia Cooperative Extension. The program consists of six sessions covering leadership traits, effective communication, leadership teams, vision and goal setting, community planning, and working and communicating with boards and organizations.
There is no fee for enrolling in the program. Participants will be expected to attend all six of the three-hour classes presented on Tuesday mornings and actively participate in a team project.
Anyone who is interested in taking part in this program should contact the Chamber of Commerce office or the Cooperative Extension Office in Danville or Chatham. Enrollment closes on March 2.
