On 6-13-12 at approximately 11:00 am, a Hartford Street resident reported that she was approached in her yard by a white male asking for money. When she refused, the suspect pulled out a knife, demanding money. The victim ran into her house, and the suspect followed. The victim screamed to a relative that was inside the home, and the suspect fled. Officers in the area located Pittsylvania County resident Christopher Michael Yeatts who was charged with breaking and entering and attempted robbery.
