As a result of an alert motorist, Danville Police now have the ball cap possibly worn by the suspect in yesterday's bank robbery.
At approximately 7:30 pm yesterday evening a motorist saw a ball cap on the side of Martinsville Highway near Avalon Drive, recognized it from the published suspect photo and called Danville Police. The ball cap appears to be new and may have been recently purchased.
Danville Police are asking that anyone who recognizes the ball cap or knows of any businesses in the region that sells and/or sold one matching the one recently recovered, to contact Danville Crimestoppers at (434) 793-0000 or via our crime tips line on your computer at crimetips@ci.danville.va.us. Information given will remain confidential.
