Danville Police responded to a shots fired call at The Highlander Restaurant Lodge and Pub 2500 Riverside Drive this morning.
At approximately 1:45 AM this morning, Danville Police responded to the Highlander Restaurant Lodge and Pub 2500 Riverside Drive on an initial report of a shots fired call. Officers found a 23 year-old male and a 39 year-old female, both Danville residents suffering from gunshot wounds. Fire and EMS also responded to assist with this incident. The victims were transported to the Danville Regional Medical Center by the Danville Life Savings Crew for treatment of their injuries. The 23 year-old male, Adrian Rashad Wimbush, died as a result of his injuries. The 39 year-old female was treated and released for her non-life threatening injuries. Wimbush’s body will be taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke for an autopsy.
The investigation is on going.
