At approximately 10:12 am Goodyear Security contacted the dispatch center and reported that a suspicious device had been found on Goodyear property. Personnel from the Danville Police Department and Danville Fire Department responded and are on scene. Personnel from the Danville Life Saving Crew responded and are on standby. Incident command has been established.
The suspicious device is being treated as a potential explosive. The Virginia State Police has been contacted to respond.
As this situation develops additional information will be released.
