ENERGY STAR® refrigerators are 20% more energy efficient than non-ENERGY STAR® models in the same class, which results in lower energy usage for your home. By replacing a fridge made before 1993 with a new ENERGY STAR qualified model, you can cut your related energy costs in half. In addition to saving you money, many ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators come with innovative features such as precise temperature controls and advanced food compartments to keep your food fresher, longer.

With Danville Utilities Home$ave, residential electric customers are eligible for a $30 mail-in rebate for each ENERGY STAR qualified new refrigerator purchased by submitting a Rebate Application with required proof of purchase. Or, now you can apply for rebates online!

Applicability
Refrigerators that replace an existing unit as well as new construction installations are eligible for a rebate through a post-purchase application process. Home$ave rebate applications are valid for 90 days after product purchase. After 90 days, the equipment is no longer eligible for rebates from Danville Utilities.

Equipment Eligibility & Rebate Level
For ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators, the rebate is $30 per unit. Rebates are available for ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators greater than or equal to 7.75 cubic feet (ft³) and less than or equal to 39 ft³. Commercial models of refrigerators and refrigerator-freezers with total refrigerated volume exceeding 39 ft³  and freezers with total refrigerated volume exceeding 30 ft³ are not eligible for rebates.
