• Receives, investigates and determines the validity of complaints regarding discriminatory housing practices in the City
• May initiate investigations and complaints on their own motion regarding discriminatory housing practices
• Reports any discrimination found to the Virginia Real Estate Commission for appropriate enforcement action as provided by law
• Arranges programs, workshops or other educational media to promote mutual understanding and respect among all social, racial, cultural, ethnic, religious and minority groups in the City with the objective of eliminating the underlying basis for discriminatory housing practices
