The Danville Public Library offers a wide variety of resources and services. From free Internet access to the latest bestsellers, from rare local histories to popular DVDs, the Danville Public Library strives to meet the information needs and interests of our diverse community.
My Library Account
To get to your library account, go to the Online Catalog button to the left. Once it takes you to our Catalog, click My Account on the right hand side of the screen. Log in using your Library Card number and your PIN which is the last four digits of your card number. Once you are logged in, you can renew books, place reserves, post book reviews, create book lists and more.
Library News
- The Danville Public Library will have a presentation about a documentary website on Danville's African-American history from 1945 to 1975 on February 7, 2012, at 5:30 pm. This presentation will be done by Emma Edmunds, the project director of Mapping Local Knowledge. For more information, call Diane Moore at (434) 799-5195 ext. 3.
- Every Monday and Wednesday starting January 18 and ending February 8, the Reference Department will be offering computer classes to patrons. Computer Classes Details
- We are currently hosting free blood pressure screenings and BMI index checks every second Tuesday of each month and at the Westover Branch Library on the third Tuesday of each month. These screenings are provided by the Ballou Recreation Center.
