Governor McDonnell Announces the Center for Applied High Performance Computing in the City of Danville - Noblis to establish transformational center that will house first Cray XMT supercomputer in the U.S. outside of a federal lab or university
June 16, 2011 - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Noblis, a nonprofit science, technology and strategy organization that helps clients solves complex scientific, systems, process, and infrastructure problems in ways that benefit the public, and Cray Inc., a global leader in supercomputing, will invest $2.5 million to establish the Center for Applied High Performance Computing (CAHPC) in the City of Danville.

EIT Announces Plans to Expand in Danville
May 3, 2011 - EIT, LLC announced plans today for a major expansion project, which will result int the construction of a second facility and the addition of 50 new jobs. The 60,000 square-foot facility will be located on the corner of Slayton Avenue and Stinson Drive in the regional Cyber Park.

High Tech Manufacturing Company to Expand and Create Jobs in the Danville Region
March 2, 2011 - CBN Secure Technologies, Inc. announced plans today to invest $1.1 million and add 25 new jobs in the Danville area. CBN Secure Technologies, Inc. already employs 14 people in its facility that produces secure Virginia driver's licenses and identification cards for the Department of Motor Vehicles. The Ottawa-based company will add new products to its manufacturing operations.
