The elected post of Treasurer was created by the Virginia Constitution of 1870.  The Treasurer’s independent status as an elected official ensures that local funds will be accounted for by an officer who reports directly to the people.

The Treasurer’s primary responsibilities include collecting and accounting for revenues for the City of Danville and for the State of Virginia.  We aim to provide the citizens of Danville with top quality and courteous service.
