The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the City Jail, Court Services and process serving in the City of Danville, Virginia. The City Sheriff is James E. “Jim” Dooley, an elected Constitutional Officer. The office currently has 81 employees and serves approximately 45,586 citizens. We take great pride in our beautiful city.
