Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza

April 14; 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Ballou Park

Bring your children (ages 12 and under) out for a free, fun, candy-filled egg hunt! This event will have egg hunts at different times designated by age.  Kids will also enjoy other activities such as coloring, crafts, games, and pictures with the Easter Bunny!

In addition to the traditional egg hunt, Center for Pediatric Therapies will also coordinate an inclusive egg hunt open to all individuals on the autism spectrum or anyone with ANY special need (developmental or physical) and their families.  Please remember to bring your own basket/bag for hunting.

Registration is not required for the traditional egg hunt. However, in order to ensure the fullest participation for each child, we ask that you do register for the Inclusive Easter Egg Hunt for any child with special needs. Siblings of special needs children may register for the inclusive hunt in lieu of participating in the traditional hunt to promote the family friendliness of this event. Participation in each time frame will be limited to reduce sensory overload.

Available modifications include reduction in sensory stimuli (small groups, smaller field, alternate hunting options); hunting for specific eggs (specified number per child to ensure all participants find eggs); modified egg collection for children  using wheelchairs, strollers, or gate trainers; treat exchange (children can exchange treats for those free from allergens or for non-edible treats); beeping eggs for visually impaired children to collect and trade for filled eggs; and alternative space to hunt for those who crawl instead of walk.

When you register, please specify the type of disability, equipment your child may be utilizing, and any special requests. Registration ends on Friday, April 5, 2019, and can be accessed on-line.
