Danville Farmers’ Market will open to the public on Saturday, May 1 while following all state, federal, and local health and safety recommendations both for patrons and vendors.
“We are proud to be able to offer this service that is a staple to Downtown Danville as well as local vendors and shoppers in the community,” said Danville Parks and Recreation Department Director Bill Sgrinia. “We do not take safety precautions and health concerns lightly so the market will be modified from its normal setup in order to meet the recommended guidelines. It’s a change for all of us, we appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we continue to develop and manage a new way to offer this service.”
The market will be open during its traditional times every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. May through October. The market is also open on Wednesdays in July and August from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
While visiting the market the following regulations are in place:
Interested vendors, inside or out, will not be allowed to set up without a reservation made in advance. Spots will be assigned by market management. Spaces can be reserved by calling 434-797-8961.
