What is Incident Based Reporting? The NIBRS is an incident-based reporting system in which agencies collect data on each single crime occurrence.The information supplied is compiled from the incidents reported to the Danville Police Department in the prior seven day period. For Example, Description, ALL OTHER CRIMINAL OFFENSES Refers to any criminal offense that is not included in the (IBR) Incident Based Reporting group A or B offense list.
