“Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave” by Frederick Douglass Read the autobiography of Frederick Douglass then join us for an in-depth discussion. An author, orator, and abolitionist born in enslavement circa 1818, Douglass lived through the Civil War, the end of slavery, and the beginning of segregation.
