On October 21st at approximately 9:45 PM, officers responded to a single vehicle accident in the 5000 block of Riverside Drive, involving a Nissan 240SX. The vehicle was headed east bound at a high rate of speed before leaving the highway, striking a utility pole and coming to rest on the shoulder of the road. The driver and sole occupant was identified as 21-year-old, Dryfork, Virginia resident, Cody Lee Barbour. Mr. Barbour was pronounced non-viable at the scene.
